post is a lot simpler, but I'm not giving the local felons free access
to my road bike.

Well, it does keep the bikes out of vandals' reach! It reduces the footprint
too. However, I can't imagine anyone in the US spending that much on bike
parking. It's enough trouble to get them to spend what the absolute cheapest
rack costs.

Think how much companies spend on car parking. Something like this
could/should be subsidized by tax breaks for environmental benefit.
Theft/vandalism/storage is a huge problem, this looks like a "drop-in"

You can hang it by the rear wheel, but it'll probably utilize three
spaces. Space hog!

reasonably wide tires and inflation pressure, or with suspension,
Forgottonia is a great place to ride a bike. There are fewer motor
vehicles per week on a lot of roads than many places have per hour.
However, finding gainful employment may be difficult.
