Splendiflourse!
It would be only improved by riding a bike on it.

Harrumph. It will never replace the lever-driven 80" pennyfarthing.

It's a testament to an old maxim about new pressure differentials and
time.

Could be rough on the descents if so.

Oddly enough, I was expecting it to be a way to use a treadmill as a
trainer...but I like the absurdity of your idea even better. Perhaps
a suggestion to the supplier for such an improvement, in the form of a
set of trainer brakets, is in order. (This would also supply the
"variable resistance" feature that they've promised.)

The Hula Bike. Finally a marketplace for my hand-built wheelsets!

Those are actually pretty cool. I really like the Hula Bike. Even MORE
simple than a singlespeed! That rear wheel might be a tough build (for
me anyway).

I friggin love it. I've been collecting misc parts for quite some time to
do much the same. Now if only I could collect some spare time.. :-/

I like this part the best:
"The Treadmill Bike's hard wearing belt offers a sure grip while
protecting your feet from dirt and other contaminants commonly found on
the earth's surface."
It's sanitized for your protection! It's the surefire answer for
germophobes.
JD just hates those nasty old contaminants

I must say that is not what I was expecting. The idea of a cross-training
regimen was my unimaginative first thought.
I have always wondered about some sort of Franken-bike that gave a workout
to the arms as well: so manner of using arm motion to get a upper and lower
body workout and increase forward movement.
The picture I get is some sort of totally impractical bar ends with linkage
to the drive-train that could be stroked to add to your propulsion. Like I
said, totally impractical.
Another thought was a similar arrangement but instead to charge a battery.
The batteries would be for charging the electronic necessities one would
need doing long-haul cross-country tours, a notebook PC, and such.
Probably a good thing I'm not trying to build any of these fantasies.
