Does Lauder College not have a cycling club you could join?

In future, you may want to specify where you want to ride, and what sort of riding you're in to. Oh,
and mountain biking should never be serious 🙂

Steps to becoming a 'serious' mountain biker:

    1. Leave your house/apt/condo/dorm room
    2. Turn left
    3. Go in a straight line until you find some non-paved surface. Preferably non-flat as well.
    4. Ride
    5. Congrats. u r now a mountain biker

Dude, if I leave my dorm and turn left, the first nonpaved surface is boston commons... either that
    or boston harbor.

A right turn, on the other hand, leads almost directly to the good stuff.

Well...Boston Harbor meets the "non-flat" criteria.

But if you turn left, and go far enough, you get to the same 'good stuff' eventually.

Steps to becoming a 'serious' mountain biker:

I thought there was only one step to becoming a 'serious' mountain biker: becoming able to take one
of the most enjoyable activites in the world so seriously that its all about numbers and no longer
just for fun. Step 2, of course, is learning to wear the roadie scowl even on a blazing downhill.

I find it impossible to wear a roadie scowl while blazing downhill. :^D

Mike - though who could tell with a fullface.

Guess you'll never be a "serious" mountain biker then! You'll just be out there having fun like the
    rest of us!
