Bike shops in USA

In San Francisco:

My favorite two shops in San Francisco are The Freewheel on Valencia (Bianchi, Surly, fixed gear, good parts, etc.) in the Mission District and American Cyclery (Bianchi, Ciocc, SOMA, good mechanics, separate store for Clothing, Accessories, and Mountain Bikes) on Stanyan and Frederick in the Haight.

If you like high-end boutique shops, there is also City Cycles on Steiner St. (Seven, Parlee, Serotta, etc.)

Off the beaten path, Cycles de Oro in North Carolina. One of the best bike shops I've ever seen with an owner sees bicycles as works of art.

White's Bikes in Westminster, MD - they have been around forever, great atmosphere in the shop, extremely gracious owners. Some families have been going there for several generations, it's been around that long.
