Quoted message said:All,
I am after a bike rack for my new carbon fibre bike.
It needs to fit on a tow ball, but I don't want a "traditional" rack that
secures the bike via the top tube.
I'd rather a rack that supports the bike from below, even requiring the
front wheel to be removed to secure via the forks.
I guess almost like a roof rack system that is mounted on the tow ball - I
am not interested in a real roof mounted system as I just know that one
day

Any suggestions and/or advice is greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

You might want to check out www.gripsport.com.au I know that they make
custom racks for downhill bikes that support the bikes by the crank and they
also do custom orders. I think they might even have a deal that if you come
up with an original idea for a product and they decide to subsequently sell
them, then they give you the first one for free.
So all you have to do is get all the guys with carbon bikes (you listening
Jazmo) keen on the idea to create a market and then you might be able to
score one yourself for free.
Of course, I will expect my 15% management fee.
Ride On,
Gags
