    There was an ad just on the television (I am watching an absolutely
    so-terrible-its-funny movie about the end of the earth), something
    about speeds, and then they say "in new york, a courier passes 117
    cars per minute", with a shot of a bike courier absolutely leaving
    everyone for dead 🙂

    Olde Schoole courier style. There was a fad in the mid to late 90s to ride
    MTBs with roughly 6 inch wide bars because the couriers did. Well, maybe 7
    inches...

    Didn't view it, but I reckon the ad would of been a highlight of lasts nights ratings. Anyone know of a link to it?

    As Steven and I stared at the TV in morbid curiosity, identifying former
    X Files characters, etc... we suddenly heard Shannon Doherty's annoying
    voice, and then saw her on screen, and realised we had truly been
    duped...

    The shocking thing is, I kept expecting it to turn into Little Britain
    at some point... and it never did.

    Hey, she was in "Mallrats" and while it wasn't the best Kevin Smith
    movie, it still got a laugh out of me.

    Other than that, I agree with your golden rule.

    Which Daddo was it? (I can only tell Andrew and Cameron, but there are

    should watch Hugh Laurie (House, MD) to see how it's done.

    I don't know whether it was intended to be, but I certainly was
    hysterical for most of it. Mind you, I did turn it off *3* times, and
    then back on again 20-30 minutes later each time just out of morbid
    curiosity.

    I wonder what the budget was? The special effects were brilliant!

    I definitely noticed that. Rather blatant -- there were times when it
    was implied if *this* one particular storm was not stopped, then it
    was the end of the *world*.

    I also absolutely predicted that as soon as the temperature dropped by
    that specific amount, then the weather would instantly turn into a
    beautiful calm day. Have I watched too many hollywood movies?
