Bike for sister ? (Oh no, not again!)

How about an experienced bike? A bike with a few years on it, can
always be found a little cheaper, and means you can buy a better bike
with the same cash.

Hi Randy, if the few sizes available happen to be the one needed and
you are willing to pay a competent LBS the cost to finish assembling,
the bike would be adequate, at best. I wouldn't buy it.

I would first explore the possibilty of locating a decent used bike.
First contact the LBS where you got your bike, ask them for
suggestions, based on your sisters budget.

Let's be honest, your knowledge of bicycles is quite limited, at this
time. So, you will need help either determining whether a used bike is
acceptable, or assembling a online purchase.

I may have asked before, but where are you located? Maybe someone can
steer you in a good direction, or help you outright. If you were in or
very near to Milwaukee, I'd be willing to help.

Yeah, I'd suggest a used bike. You could probably get a decent, new
mountain bike from a LBS for $400 or less, but if you're looking for
road bikes, you're going to have to go used, I think. Check places like
Ebay, thrift stores, newspapers, and the like.

Sorry. Married with three kids (Nathaniel 8, Skyler 1.5, Zander 0.5).
She's about 2 years younger than me at 31. Stay at home mom and home
school teacher. And in much better shape than I am.

Hi mom,

Just got off the phone with sister. Seems I'm supposed to be at your
house this evening along with her for dinner. Sis told me that I am to
bring my bike. I guess you and her are going to take turns riding *my*
bike. This is so, so unfair.

Okay. I Hadn't heard that brand mentioned anywhere and didn't know
anything about them. I'll focused on used bikes, I guess.

Ok. There are a couple near by. I'll check with them. Hmm, I guess I
could also check somewhere like "Play it Again Sports". I've seen them
around but not sure if they carry anything. I guess I can also check
local ads.
