Revolution CycleCentre on South Road between the Edwardstown Shopping Centre and the Emmerson Crossing (that big bridge over the railway). Ask for Steve. Very nice bloke, very knowledgeable and works by listening to you ... which made a pleasant change I can tell you.

I have been looking at buying a new bike and went to the Glen Osmond Rd Bike Shop, where the owner put me onto a guy who is the AIS Cycling technician based out at the velodrome. The service is called EuroSport. He measures you up and can make all the correct adjustments etc, based on your riding style as well apparently. His name was Bryan Hayes - 8360 5814 or eurosport at adam dot com dot au.

i got a good fit from the guy on portrush rd (glenunga/glen osmond end) - bike, road, triathlon (or something). small shop.
measured me up, and fit the bike from there. i then went on rides from there, and he was happy to make any necessary adjustments on my return to fine tune it all.
as a quick test i went up and had a crack at waterfall gully rd climb - knocked off nearly a minute after the first fitting!!

Would it be worth getting a bike trainer so I can adjust my fit?

Do you mean a wind trainer/rollers? Shops have special bike fitting jigs where everything can be adjusted and still stay relative.

I think Archibald was talking about the same guy I was - corner of Glen Osmond Rd and Fisher St. I am sure he will adjust something, you go for a ride and try it and come back and he'll tweak it a bit if needed.

You can always take some measurements yourself and get a fit online - try wrenchscience.com, might be a good starting place.

The top tube is probally to long and I need a sorter stem. I am very skinny and have a sort torso and long legs like most women do. Bike shop should have seen that I have a sort torso and got a smaller frame.

small shop, sells Casati and Viner, and a few other brands...
definately knew his stuff.
took one look at me, one look at the bike and said that it was setup all wrong. out came the tape measure and he proved it.
much more comfortable fit now!

Haven't even noticed that shop, and I ride past there a few times a week! What is it near, the shops where Dan Murphy's is? Which side of the road? Sounds like a good one to check out.

I tilited the saddle nose up and most of the weight is off my hands and arms now. Saddle tilt really helps you to sit on the seat without much weight on the handle bars. If the nose is tilted down to much you have to use your arms to hold yourself up. I thought the saddle was level but might have been pointing down.
