Bike camera

Scientfic. I'm temppted to get one myself.

The most popular one seems to be the ATC2000. If you Google on that
term you will find the same camera from a number of sources with
different brand names attached. Pay about £90.

Less if you import from the USA, even with the import duties (which may
not be levied anyway!) I've just bought one for £60.99, including
postage but less duties.

Incidentally, 7dayshop.com are currently selling a 2Gb Toshiba SD card
for £11 delivered. This is one area where I wouldn't trust eBay.

I've had reasonably good experience with them although it did take them
six weeks to deliver one memory card I ordered that was listed as in
stock and their cheap polarising filters only polarise the red light and
not the blue. They gave me a return authorisation when I pointed it out
to them so do check if you buy any unbranded stuff from them that its
what you think it is.

I've had no problems getting genuinely high-speed Toshiba and ADATA SD cards
from Hong Kong eBay sellers.

I know there are many genuine sellers on there for memory cards, but
it's also an area populated by scammers selling fake cards. I just
choose not to use eBay for things like that. Mind you, for the very low
prices on there it's not a lot of money to risk!

I've also had the long delivery times for supposedly stock items, but
nothing like six weeks. Generally though the service and pricing is
pretty good.

I wouldn't risk buying a SanDisk branded one - lot of fakes of those,
apparently. But I have saved money on the ones I mentioned.

It's now easy to get memory cards cheap in the UK, thankfully, but still you
have to pay significantly more for high speed ones. Card speed doesn't make
a difference in all devices - but does a lot in my dSLR after the buffer
fills up.
