I agee, he's an idiot! If you're going to commentate on a sport that you
truly know nothing about.....study up! His comment today about Lance
getting 20 secs over Basso because of the stage win bonus is just
frustrating. Let Bob take over, fire Al, and pick up another retired
cyclist (as long as it isn't Greg!). Maybe have Bob as the prime, and have
a series of guest commentators. I'd love to see Bob and Robin Williams
together. That may be a hoot! There are plenty of great retired cyclist
that may be willing to do a guest spot.

Hey, why not Greg? Put him on the spot as an announcer if he wants to
jabber away, put it to good use. If he starts going on about how
everyone is on dope, well, he'll have Phil, Paul and Bob to throttle him.

Robin would be better because he would just be funny and not look like a

Maybe, as others have alluded, he's living in the past and feels his
reputation is threatened by the next generation of champions. Kinda
