hmm...start by buying a bike and getting one of those cool assymetrical
backpacks and a tattoo, and then I'd suggest maybe start calling the courier
companies. Fitness training you could do "on the job".

Heh. After my co-supervisor's comments whilst drunk tonight, I guess I
better start looking for a new career before my PhD is finished.

Someone I knew just called a few of the smaller places when he arrived in Melbourne, in fact it was the first place he called that offered him a job. He didn't last long - two crashes and a case of heat exhaustion later, he briefly moved to a job in a call centre, before deciding to live the rest of his working holiday on credit...

They were phasing out the bicycle postie jobs
when I worked there. Motorbikes are the go
apparently.

Hey Dutch this one reminded me of a post a while ago asking if there
were any alley cats on here. You seemed to know what they were talking
about. Wanna explain. I'm guessing it has somethign to do with couriers
racing through the city after hours??

resembling a work day scenario, i.e. race around the city,
stopping at various checkpoints based on instructions given
at the start.
