They're cheap enough. Whatever you get will come with
its own wiring harness, and will be much cheaper than
trying to resurrect your old Trek cycloputer. Heck, if
you buy a new Cateye Astrale wiring harness, you might as
well buy the whole ensemble.

I expect you want to keep the original computer head in
order to keep your existing numbers, like the odometer.
I used to be a slave to such numbers, too. Losing my
cycloputer provided me with the opportunity to be free.

Every cyclometer I've ever had was resettable so it's easy enough to
simply transfer the numbers. I've only transferred odometer readings
and wheel settings but those are the only useful numbers anyway.
