Nice pics.
Thanks Alienator! 🙂
I enjoyed them too. We don't see many bike tour photos from Bulgaria!

You're right. I wish we would see more of that area and others in Eastern Europe. Eastern Europe has to be rife with rides that are little known outside their area.
A bit farther WNW is a ride I'd love to do, the Maraton Franja, in Slovenia.
Well, it is true, that this part of Europe, and BG in particular, are not very well known for west people or USA citizen.
So I give here a link to my Home page. In it you may see information and pictures for my tours in BG. There are also links to several my photo albums too, about my bicycle tours in the wilderness (2-3 are written in Bulgarian)

Now, is that google translator worth something or what did I just say in there?😄
I just found your "Bulgaria by bicycle" tracks, followed them and got here. It's so great that you're doing that and sharing it with others.
We are a couple from Romania, Giurgiu - a town located north across the BG border and Pyce (Rousse/Ruse) and we frequently pedal to Ruse and its neighborhood and fell in love with what this country of yours offered us so far.
Ruse is an elegant town, with plenty of pedestrian places, parks, green invaded buildings with great architecture, lots of lazy cats stealing your pizza and your heart when not snoozing in the sun 🙂, a nice harbor with few high 'bellevue' points for sighting the sunsets over Romanian forests from across the Danube river, lots of nice restaurants with great food and the local beer...uhuu 😄
I've got only few pics:
Pyce BG - a set on Flickr
Around Russe - a set on Flickr
I will definitely check on your trips and for the next summer maybe join the two guides on a trip.
I said maybe because the first time I was looking through Bob's picture collection, there was one in which he didn't wear a thing and I said that's it, he's a looney, closed that page, cleared recent history in browser and I don't know... 🙂) Samo se sheguvam 😄
🙂
1976-77 I was student in Rousse town, and I remember the great earthquake in the beginning of March 1976 (in Vrancha Mountain). These years it was not easy to visit Romania. Yes, the sunset on the Danube shore there was great … I have seen that you visited my Home page … maybe it would be better to contact with me by
