I have been looking at getting a new frame, and would like to purchase a carbon fibre one. Bianchi's 928L seems to be reasonably priced and good looking to boot, but I haven't been able to get any information on their reliability or weight. I would also appreciate any suggestions on alternate frames. (I have a limited budget, so I would like to stay at aroud $1500.00) Thank you for your comments.

I am 100% satisfied with my Bianchi. I bought the 928L, carbon lugged version. The quality of workmanship in this bike is far superior to the other bikes I looked at purchasing. This bike is stiff, very stiff, and very fast especially in the corners both these characteristics can be contributed as much to the campagnolo zonda wheels as the frame. The Campy Chorus gruppo shifts as well or better than a Dura-Ace gruppo and the Continental Grand Prix tires are showing little wear and no flats. I have put a little over 1500 miles on the bike with no issues or complaints. If I had it to do over again, I would buy this bike again with no regrets.

I have the Bianchi 928 monocoque with full record carbon groupset and 2006 Eurus wheels. In a word - SENSATIONAL. The bike is frankly better than me. It is nimble uphill, fast and solid downhill and very predictable and chuckable around corners. I have never come close to the handling limits of the frame. It is also stiff yet very comfortable and very light (around 7kg for the full bike including record pedals and record carbon biddon cages). Colour wise, I have the 1885 colour scheme (lacquered carbon with gun-metal grey/celeste highlights). I have celeste handlebar tape and the rest is black (wheels, veloflex black/black tyres, Cinelli bars, Deda Newton stem, Selle Italia Signo saddle) and carbon (record carbon cranks, record seatpost, etc.). Also, please use only Italian parts with your Bianchi - do not [censored]-up your beautiful frame with Japanese spacejunk. Enjoy.

EDIT- Damm nice bike though, with Campag OR Shimano.
