  1. Hi all-

I know most people here like Fitday but what are some other websites that
are helpful for Low-carbers? Are there any great sites for info, products
and/or support? I just read this newsgroup, are there other LC newsgroups?

    Thanks!

C'mon people! No one wants to share some sites with me :-(

  3. Dropped,

Just now read your first post. I get all of my 'support' from this
newsgroup, but I have bookmarked bunches of sites with recipes, mainly.
Just google 'low carb' and peruse the results. Also, if you are following a
particular plan, google for that official site. I have the Atkins Center
site bookmarked, although I rarely check it out due to it being a highly
'commercial' site. Too many references to using their products!

yeah thanks - I was hoping to get people's personal opinions and favorites.
Not googles. Like you have recipes sites. Is there one in particular that is
a wealth of super recipes for LC-ers or is this like asking people to
divulge thier biggest secrets? Do people not want to share and just say "Get
    your own!" ?

I have some stuff on my site: http://www.delorie.com/health/

  6. Well, there is the Atkins website, that has lots of free information.

You might also do some searches through Yahoo Groups. There are hundreds
with various skews on low carb.

  7. You could try http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com They have some good info
    and support there.

  8. There are a number of web based forums, Yahoo and otherwise. Yahoo groups
aren't bad because you can receive them in email but I find web boards a
pain. Usenet is so much easier to follow. Just Google low carb and you
    will find lots of links.

  9. I mostly invent my own recipes or adapt regular recipes to low carb. Most
    can be adapted pretty easily.

  10. My personal favorite is the one from this newsgroup. I like it mostly
because the recipes on the whole call for everyday ingredients.

Yes. The list you develop is the only one that makes sense. The FAQ
is full of "favorite" links. That is how it was developed. People
combined all their collective ideas of where to look for information
and wowsers, out came page after page of "personal" favorites. So
take a look at the FAQ to see lists of peoples favorites.
