Best Tires?

I only have had experience with two types.
Vittoria Ultraspeed 650x20 - Very light (175g) and fast but ultra delicate. 4 flats in about 250km. It you want I'll sell them to you :-)
Kenda Koncept Lite 650x23 - So far so good. A little heavier (220g) but still pretty light. No flats in 500km. I got them for about $18cdn each so they were a very good deal. I plan on using them for training and triathlons this summer.

I did a bunch of research and had found the Specailized All Condition Armadillo was the tire for me ... Then I figured out that they only make it in the 700c size. Which put me back here looking for advice.

Or buy a tire liner like Spinskins and apply to a good tire. I haven't personally used a liner, but I have a friend who says she's picked out lots of shards of glass from the tire that didn't get through the liner. Excelsports.com sells.

Got some Michelin Axials from coloradocyclist.com. Not a ton of variety in 650 tires and they tend to be pricy.

Had kenda koncepts (700x23c) and was not happy with them. I punctured within the first 120 miles or so with this tyre.

A bike shop just recommend I buy Slime Tubes for my bike. Does anyone use these or have any experience with them?

They said I could keep my current tire and just replace the tubes.

Does anyone use the Slime Liner for their road bike? How does it affect the ride?

Continental Dura-Skin- In a Recent Review in RIDE (aussie mag) Spring 2003 they tryed to slashed the tyre with scissors and knives but could not scar it. They evetually cut it with a super sharp Stanley Knife by stabbing it instead of just cutting it.

What do the weight,100g each or so?

I have never used the Slime tubes myself, but I have heard that they are really only useful for lower pressure mountain biking applications -- the 'slime' in them is just not up to holding up to the 100+psi of pressure that's common in road riding.
