  1. Hi,
I am a food science student from Hungary and I like to study abroad
    for MSc (and PhD).

    I need MSc in English.

What are the best options for MSc programmes in English in Food
Science or Food Safety or Nutrition ?

There are so many programmes when searchin on internet, but is there
some list which are the TOP programmes in Europe or the world ??

How do I know if a programme is good ? All websites say there
    programmes are good.....

    HELP please !

    Szabor

  4. Szabor,
Some of he best programmes in the world in this fields are at
    Wageningen University in the Netherlands.

On the site www.voedsel.net/ft there are also two links to ranking
institutions, where Wageningen is mentioned as the top 3 in the world
in the fields of Food and Nutrition. (of which we are obviously very
    proud !)

Alf you may have been had. The first poster has
the same newsreader, the same X trace
and the same ISP as the
Dutch poster with the specific dead on answer.
In other words, we just saw some clever SPAM
    for a university.

Ralf should have just been forth right, IMO.

    Doubt so.
You have to read what they have to offer.
The scope of education may differ quite a lot. And there are several
    way to look at nutrition.

Here we are amongst others concerned about nutrition in developing
    countries, like nutrition sociology.

PS. I have forwarded your prime message to our student consultant. But
she is very busy at moment, so I'm afraid it was not successful.

Well, anyway it gave me the opportunity to tell about another one
    :-)

  8. Alf and John,

Thank you for calling it 'clever SPAM', actually it is not.

Szabor was here on Erasmus and had its doubts about our university, we
saying that we are the best, he wanted independent opinion (which is
    good I would say !).
I gave him the idea of a newsgoup and he posted it from our student
room, I guess, not from his home, and yes, that makes it the same ISP,
as the whole floor has the same server.

  9. Sorry. The usenet has made me a little sceptical
    about identities of posters.
One American and one Norwegian maybe
a little too far abroad to have a judgement
on the specific program of your University.
After Alf checks around, he maybe able to
    provide an informed opinion.
