Can any one suggest a low carb bread that tastes decent?
I tried two at my local grocery store but gagged each time I bit into
it.
I want to make low carb herb bread stuffing at christmas but have people
living here that aren't doing the low carb diet or diabetic.
Thanks

I like both Aunt Hattie's and Sara Lee brands. The Sara Lee brand tends
have a much later stamped date (at least here), and that's reflected in
how long it keeps.

I found all the grocery brand LC breads were twice what Atkins breads were
per slice. The trick I found for all of the LC breads is to toast them, it
brings out the nutty flavors and I like the Atkins rye best of the Atkins
line and the other lines I choose the multi grain, remember to toast them
all. -

Nature's Own has a low carb bread that's only 4.5 carbs per slice. It's
slightly drier than their 100% whole wheat bread, whith is only 8 carbs per
slice and taste great!

Bread is not low carb.

ThanksI love French Meadow Bakery Men's Bread. It is in the freezer section
with the health foods. You keep it frozen and only take out what you
need. it will spoil rapidly under normal conditions. Each slice has 89
cal. 9 grams carb with 4g of fiber. 6g protein. I think it is truly
delicious and eat it even when I'm not following low carb. It has a
nutty flavor. but, I'm not sure how it would taste for stuffing. You
could do a run through just to try it out. The only place I've seen it
advertised is in Body & soul. -

Natural Ovens Bakery out of Wisconsin makes a great Golden Crunch low carb
bread. Fiber Rich makes awesome breads and bagels--great even not toated.
Both are kept frozen--preservative free--for good health.Nat
