How often do you need a gear calculator that it is worth buying commercial software for it? If I need to calculate a gear ratio I simply plug some numbers into a spreadsheet. Tru - up to a point.
The GearCalc from www.income-software.com shows quite a lot of other data apart from just gear changes, such as the effect of cadence and other things.
worth a look.

I recently posted a new gear calculator, free to use online. Take a look and see if it suits your needs. If not, this is a good time to make suggestions while the code is fresh in my mind.

What you need may be something I can easily add. If not, the commercial packages are still available.
