  1. I've been pretty much just using food for my protein needs for awhile,
but for convenience, am considering using protein shakes again.

Eggs, fish, turkey and chicken primarily with some beef thrown in as I
    can afford.

I used to buy "Isopure" as it was the only carb free whey I could get
from GNC during their beginning of the month sales, but it's a tad bit
    pricey.

Any suggestions as to other brands to try?

Before Isopure, I used to use MLO milk and egg protein. It's less
expensive and is also carb free.

    Suggestions?

    Cheers!

Whey Fruity, a zero carb fruit punch or lemonade flavored whey, is a
nice change of pace from the milk shake type of whey. ($1 to Whitney,
    where ever he may be)

PVL Whey Gourmet comes in Orangesicle, Blueberry, and Piña Colada, and
it has only 3 grams of carbs per serving, with 23 grams of protein.
I've only tasted the Orangesicle, but it was really good. It's made
in Vancouver, BC, and sweetened with a combination of acesulfame-K,
    sucarlose, and stevia.

  4. I like instone's intake lean. 2g carbs per serving.

Their pudding also rocks! 1g of carbs per serving/21 gram protein.
    Having one right now....... 🙂

Yes, stop worrying about the negligible grams of carbs in the whey.

    Cool, thanks!
I'll look out for that one.

You are right. The milky type ones get a bit "gaggy" after awhile. ;-)

Ages ago, I had some soy based protein powder that made into tomato or
chicken soup. It was pretty "gritty". Don't remember the brand. That was
    about 20 years ago.

    <lol>
I'm limiting myself to 20 grams or less per day...
At that level, every point counts!

    But, thanks for the input!

Plug "whey gourmet" into Google. Several places have it comparatively
    cheap.

Amino acids pills, capsules or liquid. Zero carbs.

Also look at ordering your supps online. Much cheaper than GNC..
