Best Bike Brand

i have a specialized dolce elite. i sure would love to have a carbon orbea though!

I like smaller homegrown companies, such as Waterford. Can't beat the quality or customer service of these guys. My bikes:a Gunnar road bike equipped w. Ultegra, a steel de Bernardi fixed gear, and right now I'm building up a singlespeed road bike using an old Trek frame and a carbon fork. My dream bike would be either a Serotta or a Seven, or a fleet of Waterfords!😄

Depends on size of rider/size of bike and what type of bike. I have 48 cm frame with 700 wheels on my cervelo soloist. If I were to purchase a time trial bike I would need 650 wheels based upon bike fit.

The bike is a 51cm frame which has been sized up to me. I have changed the handlebars because I have wide shoulders and I am 5.3 feet tall. I got a bike fit done after I bought the bike.

I would talk to a bike fitter and see what the consequences of the wheel change are. 650 wheels are more aerodymanic (if that is what you want) Larger wheels could compromise such a small frame. I'm also not sure mechanically what needs to happen to you bike if you upgrade to a 700.

I wasnt going to change the wheels I was going to get a new bike with 700 wheels. but you say small wheels are better for aerodynamics so maybe this is ok for me. I compete in triathlons. (slow swimmer slow runner, good on bike). The bike I have at present has been measured up to me and my size, its just that I feel different to everyone else in group riding because of my wheel size.

Hello there I use to have a bike with 700c wheels Now i have a bike with 650cI like this bike much better fits me a lot better.I am 5foot 5 and yes others are higher then I am who cares.If it works for you use it.Ride fast

Thanks for that, Its nice to hear that you are happy with the 650c wheels because I thought it would be a disadventage. I am not going to change it yet as I find the bike has good take off speed and it has been made to fit me.

I presently have a DeVinci Patriot (1998 Mountain Bike with Rock Shox on the front). I got that after my Cannondale H800 got stolen. In some ways it getting stolen was good as it was a poor fit (I had to lean way forward -- didn't like the fit at all eventhough it was supposed to fit me height, etc.)

Anyways, I'm now looking at getting a new bike in the next year or so -- DeVinci Caribou. I've been so happy with the Patriot that I want to stick with these guys (Canadian Manufacturer). This little MTB has gone through well over 20,000KM in the last 6 years (not much compared to some but it's survived with pretty much all original parts -- except for a new headset).

CANNONDALE!! They're road bikes are brilliant! Especially the new 'optimo' frames which basically have all the benefits of carbon fibre minus the downsides. If you can get a ride on one try it! For mtb they make some nice bikes, which are probably a bit more specialised though. Lefty's are really good to ride on if you can afford it.
