  1. Seen at the Mildenhall show.

Built by the guy who normally rides that bike at shows that pivots in
the middle of the top tube, he says to plans from the US. A lovely
piece of work and allegedly quite light - reckons 26lbs is feasible
although this one is a bit heavier. Now where's my saw ;-).

Oh wow, that's fabulous! A B&Q Fujin, I like it. Don't suppose you
have any more clues on where the plans might be had?

What about this, found it when googling for wooden recumbents:

A driftwood 'bent, how cool is that.

The link I put on the page was a bit small but its there. The plans are
    $25 from http://www.manytracks.com/Recumbent/jrobin.htm

AT £100 for the frame materials in aircraft grade spruce I have to give
    this a go!

Hmmm... I feel an email coming on. I wonder if he'll do bulk discount for
the number of URC readers who are bound to want plans? 🙂

Wobbly John has had that for a couple of years, IIRC. One Dave Bracey
brought one to the BHPC Reading race last year TAAAAW.

It's an intriguing project that's for sure. Plus, down at the pub
you'd be able to say "Me? Oh, not much, just been creosoting the
    bike...."
