Beginner To MTB Help !

If you dont wanna spend $1k, go hardtail. Youl get a better, lighter bike for the $$. Cheap softies suck.

True but I am not a hardcore biker lol just a normal rider so I might even get the S-60 from Target rofl

Doesnt really hatter how hardcore you are. Get the best bike you can and you will enjoy it more. Cheap bikes suck, cheap fs sucks worse.

Aikions try to find best bike for your money. Bike price is: Frame (Chro-moli=cheap, Alu=tolerable expansive, Carbon= high rate price), + equipment (from Alivio=cheap, Acera=cheap ..... Deore=tolerable expansive, Deore LX= expansive, XT= high price, XTR= High rate expansive), + fork (hardtail + hardfront= cheapest), (hard tail only = tolerable expansive - depend what fork you will use), Full Suspensor (you can find this bike cheap too but you will ride that bike for ONE year after that you can trash him) this bike is very expansive.`

haha that's hilarious, I think I might only want to spend 200-500 for a bike, is that enough for a full suspension bike ?

WELL I TAKE IT YOU'R TALKING POUNDS ,we pretty much have the same prices going here( x the echange rate about 12.)and that won't get you a new decent dual sus.you might look at the second hand market but that on a full sus can be an expensive exercise if you have to start replacing,parts.If the owner bought it and never used it go for it ,but a well used bike has infinite bits that require changing and you could spend 200 quid just on replacement parts not talking replacing shocks.
For the money you looking at spending,look at a hardtail with you best combinatin of components,don't nescery go for disk brakes,look for a decent frame and wheels,double wall rims,lightweight frame, you can always ugrade the front shock.I see the UK bike shops have some killer specials on old stock (2 years and its dated.)
I took my 5 yearold 7 speed Trek hard tail out for a ride this past week and boy am i glad a now own a full sus.(Scott Genius mc50)But i didn't come cheap and thats only the middle of the price range.Two of my mates recentlly got very good deals on pre owned full sus but thet never paid less than 1000 pounds.

Gosh... I never knew it was this hard to pick out a pick haha, I should just go to a bike shop and ask a expert for some help

They are not experts (much of them never ride a bike), they want to sell so be carefull what you are buying.

Actually I called a person at the store and he told me this, He doesn't know much but there's some other person who knows more than him and he's a expert at itm lol at least their honest =D
