I juiced a few beets today and used it in both my biddons, all it did was give me an upset stomach and stain my bottles. Have any of you tried it? if so, how did it go?

I dosed up on it for a week prior to a fitness test. Can't say I noticed any difference but I'm not very fit anyway. Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2

I used to juice beets back when I was heavy into juicing. I don't recall anything special about them but then again I was juicing everything under the sun. My favorite concoction was apple, cucumber, and a splash of carrot....especially well chilled.
That beet juice stains EVERYTHING, be careful.

It's really refreshing to read about juicing on a cycling forum, when it's not about another kind of juicing.

I've tried it 3 times recently before races. On the first 2 occasions I felt better than average, which either means, a) it worked, b) it had a placebo effect, or, c) I coincidentally had "good leg" days. :-) Eh, who knows?!
The third time I think I had it too soon before the race, and it refluxed on me a bit, and I felt terrible, so I didn't have a chance to notice how good my legs felt.

If you can get them, white beets have essentially colorless, non-staining juice. Some Italian markets here carry them from time to time.

It must take a lot of beets to make that. Juicing is great but you need to do a ton of it to make anything out of it.
