I had some stew beef and tri-tip in the freezer that I
needed to do something with, and I really wanted to make
some beef stew...
A quick Internet search to make sure stew was something
appropriate to do with tri-tip turned up this:

Well, there were a couple of things I didn't like about the
recipe, starting with Splenda. (Huh? What's up with that?)
But sweet potatoes sounds interesting.
And hey, it's stew, toss in what you like and leave out
what you don't, it doesn't matter.
I tossed in the beef, sweet potatoes, zuchinni, beef broth,
cabernet sauvignon, onions, a couple of cloves of garlic,
a dash of Worchestershire and a few grinds of black pepper.
A bit of roux for thickening.
Oh, my goodness. Heavenly. I'm definitely going to remember
this combination. Sweet potatoes are supposed to be more
healthful than the other kind, anyway.
