  1. When Phil talks about a riders "beautiful bronze legs" it really sounds odd. Is it that I'm a
homophobe, or is that just eurospeak?

Maybe I'm a homophobe too... I had the same reaction. Maybe it's his choice of words like
"beautiful" and "bronze" as opposed to words like "strong" and "tan"... made me think Phil was
really lusting after those legs.... he's referred to more than one rider that way, including Millar.

I don't think Brits say "tanned". They usually say "sunburned" the was Americans say "tanned". Maybe
Phil was struggling to find something that would be clear to all of his English speaking audience.

    Again, much about nothing.

No, 'tanned' is correct in English English - it signifies the 'bronze' colour you're supposed to get
    when sunbathing is done properly...

'Sunburnt' relates to when you've done it too quickly and look like a lobster.

Tanned is good. Sunburnt is bad...

It makes many of us wonder if we end up riding as long as Liggett has, we'll be eyeing those
    bronze legs ourselves.

What if you found out that Phil is Gay, would that lower your opinion of him as a cycling
    announcer/reporter?

Is that gay or Gay? Why should it matter? Neither I nor my sister have any intention of
    dating him.

It's "Gay", it doesn't matter to me but I was wondering about others.

If President Bush admitted using bogus Niger-Iraq uranium claim in State of the Union,

Would you believe him next time?

What did the Veep know and when did he know it?

    Maybe Bush is Gay. 😉

(And I didn't believe him the first time.)
