You're referring to the sanitised Disney version. In the original she
got totally digested. It's Grimm in the forest :-)

You incorrectly attribute the original story to the Grimm Brothers.

In the original both Grandma and Little Red Riding Hood were totally
digested and the wolf got away scott free. It's Perrault in the
forest.

There is nothing to suggest that LRRH was not a completely fit human,
albeit a bit thick in not being able to tell the difference between
her grandmother and a wolf in her grandmothers clothing.
