An interesting idea David.Given the lack of excercise and excessive eating
so common in our society, such an incentive would be welcomed.
As someone who spends his time promoting a business opportunity linked to
the concept of 'get paid to shop',
I wonder what marketing strategy the government would adopt under the
headline 'get paid to walk'?
Maybe someone like Jamie Oliver will come along and bring it to the
attention of people and finally the government will jump on the bandwagon as
they did with the healthy eating campaign, claiming it was their idea all
along!
Any comments?

walkers from walking, thereby making the population less fit and
increasing the NHS bill and thereby using even more of the world's
resources?
Perhaps the government should provide incentives for walkers on a
sliding scale - the more you walk - the healthier you are - maybe the
less tax you pay? On the landowner's side perhaps the more walkers
that use their land the more tax breaks they would receive?
