  1. Hi all,

Just a random wish for BC shirts in general; sure the general public doesn't
know what a BC actually *is* but it surely still deserves a little fashion,
    no?

I was particularly tickled by the "Unicycle: it's a bike without all the
    useless #$#%$" on http://www.cafepress.com/unicycles. I'd really love a
"BC: it's a unicycle without all the useless %@#$#" shirt ;-) Any other BC
shirt would be weclome, though - does anybody know where I might find one?
Haven't seen any on the unicycle sites I've looked at.

    Cheers,
    Mark

  2. One of the bedford shirts has a BC, I'm too lazy to dig up a link right
    now though.

  4. Don't suppose you've got a picture? ;-)

Btw, your BC vids are amazing, I've been using them to scare uni-riding
    friends :-)

    Cheers,

  7. Thanks very much! I'd been looking for some pictures of bedford stuff.

My friend has something of a background in Physics and gets a little worried
about how BC riding can possibly be done. We had fun trying to figure out
exactly why it was possible ;-)

I bought a Nimbus BC last Friday from unicycle.uk.com, it arrived this
Monday (impressive!). I still love riding and learning tricks on the uni,
but at the point I started to commute to work on it I guess I needed
something weirder to ride on ;-)

    Cheers,
    Mark

  8. Well BCs are great fun! But I still love my uni, and I don't have one
yet either :p so that could be why I don't get much practice with it :p

A very similar reason as why it is physically possible to do a
stillstand. There have been discussions about this before - and we
came to a landing. I'm not sure if the 'search' button would easily
find them but you can give it a try.

In the end, we agreed it was possible :-) The thing that really bugged us
was whether it was possible to be stable long term, if your centre of
gravity moved off-centre. We decided that because you can move the wheel
*relative to yourself* in the front / back direction it is definitely
possible to maintain a stable state.

Which is good, because otherwise litldude2's escapades would be even more
frightening than they are already ;-)

I'll do a search for previous threads - it'd be quite interesting to see
what other people thought of the problem.

    Cheers,
    Mark

  11. Mark, if you still think you'd like a "BC: it's a unicycle without all
the useless %@#$#" shirt, P.M. me and I could probably get one together
for the cafepress site. Let me know what sort of image you'd want, or
if lettering would be the thing.

  14. There's been a few orders to the UK, and some to Canada (I don't know if
that's 'shipping internationally', really. I mean, it is... but
there's aren't any intervening oceans.) and once to Japan. That's
    international.

Anyhow, I hope they'll ship you anything you like. Here's the mini
    button to look at, too.

  16. I wish I could offer to bring a box of them to New Zealand personally.

Somehow, I don't think the business writeoff would be large enough to
    make it work.

  17. I sent them an email about international shipping, first if they did it,
and then how much it'd cost :P cos if it's a lot, it's better to get
more, so it brings individual shipping down. But if it's not too bad,
then still get lots, cos it brings it down anyway :p

  18. I had them ship out my last order to the UK, buying stuff in bulk with a few
friends to save on the postage cost. Since dogzilla has now done these
wonderful new shirts, I guess I'll have to do it again, soon!

Cafepress seem happy shipping internationally and they don't charge you US
taxes on the items. One thing that's worth noting is that you might be
liable for local taxes on shirts you import into your country.

    Cheers,
    Mark
