    Interesting that the majority of contributors do not favour the reduction of penalties.

    This reinforces my impression that this government tends to listen to vociferous minorities rather

    It has to listen to vociferous minorities - the majority are so fed up with politicians that they
    just don't care any more.

    No, that's not what I said.

  7. I think the linked page illustrates the problem with the speeding debate (and wider politics) in
    this country - most of the opinions expressed are irrational extreme views - and the sensible
    concerns and comments from both sides are simply drowned out.
