I gave up to after listening to that vulgar man from 'Fast Car.' I am begining to realise that its best to not argue. Waste of energy.

When it was mentioned that cyclists don't pay road tax I wish someone would
have said that as taxpayers cyclists do pay road tax.

The motoring journalist from fast car magazine wanted all cyclists to be registered.
I would always ask people who have that opinion if they would
want this measure extended to include all children who have bikes too.

The presenter (who imo came across as being pro car driver) and the guy
from fast car magazine didn't seem to mention that car drivers in cars do
also go through red traffic lights and don't indicate.

It seems to me that car drivers tar all cyclists which the same brush so to
speak when they see one committing a misdomeanor but (may) only criticise
an individual driver for transgressing a traffic law.

"well, umm, it's not that bad really" - refreshing to listen to someone
with a sense of perspective. Think he could have done with putting things
into perspective a little more, perhaps condemming cyclists breaking the
law in the same breath as condemning those that do similar things in metal

He could then move on to pointing out how ridiculously expensive a solution

Not sure if the listeners would be quite ready for a suggestion of 20mph
limits on most roads in residential/urban areas thobut.

Main problem with the programme was that the fast cars chap was full of
hyperbole and stupid, so the callers appeared just as stupid. Sam Walker
did (very) well, but was a little slow to condemn obvious stupidity by
cyclists (the [censored] going at speed on the pavement).
