I know someone who has known Valverde from a junior- In fact all being
I'll get to meet him at the Vuelta. :-)
I really do believe that he is clean, if he's not, it will be an absolute
tragedy.

The fact that products have been found in their dustbins seems to have
been substantiated in various sources. Given the way other teams have
been dealt with, and the rather miraculous improvement of many riders
under the tutelage of M 60%, it seems that winter team building
exercises in the snow & ice haven't been the sole reason for their success.

Frankly, whilst it has always been nice to see Mr B, Mr U et al fighting it
out in the race, it now begs the question of whether they'd have been as
good without stimulation. I'm glad they've, and the trainers, doctors,
coaches etc, been caught. Their guilt or otherwise is still, however,
unknown.

It's my opinion that the more that are caught and proved guilty, the better
the sport will be in the long run.

Good luck to David Millar, at least he's admitted it and served the
prescribed sentence. Maybe he's had a bit of decent practice and has a
chance of doing something spectacular. 😉

Personally though, I'll be cheering most for Bradley Wiggins, I really hope
he can make the switch and make it good. His form seems to suggest he might
struggle, but Le Tour seems to bring out good in so many people, he might
also do something spectacular. I hope so. 😉

Clearly it had not.

This time I suspect many sponsors will say enough is enough.

I also feel sorry for those kids (and even those posers) in trade kit who
will now also be tainted as 'supporters' of a drug ridden 'sport'.
