Noooooo! Altura Orkney gets my vote. Lights can be mounted underneath
it, and it is almost totally waterproof. Map case can be removed but
the glue melts in 6 weeks of UK scorching weather.

Hmmm, would prefer something pretty much totally waterproof for my digital
camera etc. I will have a look at the Altura Orkney, but I'm pretty sure
I'll go for an Ortlieb of some sort.

I have an Agu barbag on a KlickFix mount. This has an internal roll-top
and the a overall lid making it totally waterproof. The rolltop part can
be unrolled inside as a liner when there's no chance of rain, improving
access. The map case is a removable A4 pouch held on by two velcro strips.
It can be used in A4 portrait, when it hange over the bars, or flipped up
on itself into A5 landscape.

There is one enormous benefit of the Carradice Super C; it may be
there's an Ortlieb with the same feature. The bag comes with a T shaped
piece of plastic the same diameter as a handlebar, that clips into a
clip on the underside of the bag. What's so good about that? It
provides a secure mount for your headlights, which is considerably
lower than the handlebar, and, equally importantly, is shielded from
your own eyes by the bag itself. This is enormously useful. Still more
useful if you have lights with the small lithium ion batteries, because
with the lights on the underside of the bag and the battery in the bag,
the whole expensive lighting kit comes off the bike with the bag.

My own Lumicycles have a bottle cage mount battery which is not quite so
neat, but it still makes it extremely easy to take the lights off the
bike and to transfer them to other bikes - I have a klickfix bracket
for the bag on every one of my bikes, even my carbon fibre time
trialer.

I cannot recommend the light bracket feature enough.

Unfortunately this isn't necessarily so - I think my super C handlebar bag
is newer than yours and doesn't have this feature. Carradice web site
certainly doesn't mention it.

Still, it's a jolly good bag anyway.
