But what about the olive?
Quoted message said:But what about the olive?
Of course you can garnish with an olive! Also good- pickled onion,
pickled okra or a personal favorite that I thought was too "out there",
those little pickled corncobs.

How about corncobs with one of those toothpick umbrellas to stick it
into the glass?

A toothpick umbrella is a welcome addition as are those little yellow,
plastic corn cob holders to stab your garnish with.

It's only a mashed potato martini if you pour it into a glass. Leave it
in its skin and it remains a bakedtini.

Okay, if you guys weren't paying attention originally, and if your

might have missed that it was a joke. But after the responses and the
riposte, it still doesn't strike you as funny? Sheesh. -aem

I thought it had to be a joke after all the other martini alterations I've
seen posted. Someone decided to just go that one step further and really
make one sound ridicules. :P

Joke or not, I didn't think it was least bit funny. Considering the source,
I'm not at all surprised.

What a totally STUPID idea!
this actually sounds like a cute idea to me. I'd put "martini" in
quotes, though.

This is twice now that, if we were taking a vote, I'd have to go with
funny. Please, please, don't make people start putting LOL at the end
of every sentence to indicate humor. I hate it when the obvious has to
be made more obvious, and jokes aren't worth much when you have to laugh
at them yourself to make sure everyone knows they've heard the punch line.

I think i'm better now!
It was my therapist's idea to post the baked potato martini recipe.
She said that the best way for me to get over the week-long anxiety
brought on by the "pineapple martini" fiasco was to poke fun at myself
by confronting my fears and exposing myself to even more criticism
through this rediculous post.
She says I should be back to, "pre-pineapple martini post drink mixing
for my friends" by New Years!!
Thanks Doc Lynn!! Kev

I thought the potato martini thing was amusing. Not every joke is
"laugh out loud" funny, nor should they be.
