  1. Ah well, managed to keep most of the weight off for a year, but then along came
the summer holidays in Barcelona in Paris - weight gradually increased. Then
came the new school term and I kept promising to lose it but nooooo. Finally
Xmas - eek - another 14 lbs on so back up to 179lbs - ah pooey!!! I'd managed to
get down to 154 as well 🙁.

So I've gone back into induction and lost a whole 1lb since Friday - yeay!!!
Forgotten how much the extra water makes me run for the loo - lol. This time I'm
going to stick at it when I meet target as well - not slip back into bad
eating - too many Patata Bravas in Barcelona methinks.

  3. Many people going through the same thing. I gain some over the holidays.
Not sure how much due to me not getting on the scale until I feel like I
want to. Just time to get back on the plan.

    Just do it.

  6. I've made it a habit to do a month of induction - at least - starting
January 7 every year. Stops me regaining. I think most of us gain over
the holidays, even if we stick to low-carb.

Why do you start on Jan 7?

I'm Catholic, and for us Christmas is a twelve-day festival that ends on
Twelfth Night (6 January). We have a 6 January ritual - the tree comes
down, the house is cleaned (so throw out the carbs) then a last
hootenanny, with a galette des rois (which is made with puff pastry) or
a rosca del reyes (fruit bread).

Then the noise of life begins again, and it's back to what my low-
    carbing friend terms the catfood.
