My very favorite sandwich involving bacon! My parents lived
in CA during the late 1930s and early 1940s, and fell in
love with avocados which were plentiful and popular. They
never lived in the West again, but avocados became a
tradition in our house for many purposes. I think I had a
BLA before I had a BLT!

Yummm!

One of the few redeeming qualities (that I've found) in
Wyoming are the Little America Truck Stops. One of them
(Cheyenne?) serves one of the most incredible BLT sandwiches
that I have *EVER* had in my life...

Bread Bacon Lettuce Tomato Mayonnaise Avocado Bean (or
alfalfa) sprouts!

Totally, totally awesome!

Close! I enjoy a BLT with avocado, a slice of swiss cheese &
sprouts on toasted wheat bread. I've also had this with a
slice of pineapple on top. (not on top of the bread, on top
of the sprouts. :~) )

hehe... Sad to say, always did. Grew up eating them that
way, although I go without if I don't happen to have the

HEH... that's frosting on the cake (and I'll make it
Jarlesberg).

What you're really talking about an avocado, tomato & sprout
sandwich WITH cheese... and you're adding bacon. IMO, adding
bacon to that is similar to adding bacon onto a cheeseburger
(it's a bacon-burger for the uninitiated). Either you like
it or not.
