What I would do: Replace the battery, and while the unit is open,
check for signs of moisture inside.

probbabley correct-there is a disruption from photon impact-a nutcase
idea after the above place the unit in bright sunlight(heat) and watch
the mix go nuts. remove when its nuts and use. it'll go back to
"normal" cooling.
