The only thing different is the mounting brackets/adapters.

The calipers are the same.

Only the bridge that goes between the caliper and the bike differs. It even
goes further: just a different bridge for different rotor size...

That is actually true of any modern manufacurer. There is an international
standard. Ya ya I know there is more than one BUT that is why there are
diff adaptors or "bridges" as some like to call them. The calipers do
follow the standard.

Ya it happens and I have done that too, especially when I went to 8" rotors.

But if you are running a 6" rotor you don't even NEED an adapter! Whith
every other major fork maker you ALWAYS need an adapter no matter what size
rotor.
