Not yet from what I've heard. It will probably hit the shop floor rooms immediately following
    interbike.

Maybe that was just to discourage people from trying to order them yet
🙂 That's more than a Hayes brake, nothing should cost more than a
Hayes except of course XTR, so people who bought Hayes will still be able to tell someone else
    they overpaid.

  4. I believe that most of Avid's production at the moment is for OEM only and the aftermarket
    will be later.

Why put down Hayes? Their brakes aren't all that expensive when you consider that with a hydro brake
you get a lever, caliper and hose with
it. The Hayes HFX-9 brakes don't cost any more than mechanicals with levers and cables. I owned some
HFX-9s for a while and they worked great. No drag, no leaks. Even knocked them around a couple
times. The more expensive Mag and Mag Plus brakes cost more because of expensive weight saving
materials like magnesium, titanium and carbon fiber.

I have Avid mechanicals on my Titus now, but only because it came with them. I like them a lot. I
like the nifty adjustability, but I miss the solid feel and shorter lever throw of the hydro brakes.
The next time I buy brakes, they will be Hayes hydros again.

  7. Nah that would be Just The one unit. without Levers either.

Disregard it.. i want some Metal jackets for my Hayes>! !#!@$ "Chris Phillipo"
