Last time I saw the HC it was on sale in a hospital shop. Which was appropriate!

If by 'filling stations' (sorry but creeping Americanisms are a pet hate) you mean petrol stations,
I'm afraid I don't frequent them that often. Don't see why I should volunteer to pay more tax.

Bike shop - Never looked (My local "bike shop" is a Halfords) Filling station - Never looked (always
pay by credit card at the pump)

Know of it. Had it recommended several times. Never read it. Amazon failed to get it for me
last year (out of stock). The Stationery Office were also out of stock and still hold an open
order from me.

both cyclist and motorist.

See HC at filling stations See HC & Cyclecraft at some bike shops Never seen Cyclecraft or Roadcraft

In Cambridge ("25% of commuting journeys are by bicycle"😉, Cyclecraft is in stock at Heffers, but
not in Transport>Cycling, nor in Sport>Cycling, but on a different floor, under HMSO Publications.

None. Seen HWC & Roadcraft in bookshops. Never seen a copy of Cyclecraft, though I have looked
occaisionally.

Yes, aware. Read and own the motorcycle version. Occaisionally guilty of forgetting I'm riding a
push bike and taking up the primary motorcycle position (offside wheeltrack rather than nearside
wheeltrack). I don't make the mistake now, haven't ridden a motorcycle for 15 months.

A quick google suggests that I first heard of the title in 1999. As I say, I have not yet read it,
but some of the points made in it have been repeated on URC many times. I am still waiting for my
copy to arrive.

My grandmother used to have a copy in her Morris Minor. I did read it, but that was some years
before I could legally drive, and I don't remember seeing a copy since. (Between 25 and 30

Why both? I suspect that you are trying to make a case of something not said.

The Highway Code, Cyclecraft and Roadcraft are on sale at Halfords a rather large chain of cycle
shops. The Highway Code is on sale at (some) Tesco service stations, my own local garage, and some
Safeway service stations. The book seems to feature most predominantly after a new edition and may
move or be removed from time to time.
