  4. There are a few riders going over from New Zealand.

As far as i know, the list of Kiwi riders so far consists of:
    Joe D (Welington)
    Tony M (Aukland)
    Me, Will S (New Plymouth)
    Henry (New Plymouth)
    Jack (New Plymouth)

Us New Plymouth riders are planning to stay on for a few days after the
event to do some more riding.
Are there any australian riders who would like to fit in some more
    riding after the Uninats weekend?
Are there any MUni riders out there? Im keen to have a look at what
sydney has to offer in the way of MUni.
Henry and Jack (the other 2 NP riders) are really into street, But MUni
    is my thing!

  5. Like I was saying to Joe the other day,

    They want you to go
    to Australia at once...

    make contact with a Portuguese
    photographer named Lacerda.

    He'll have
    all the details.

All I have to do is check into my
soundproof suite. He'll seek me out.

    - What do you think ?
    - Sounds like real trouble.

You're gonna need plenty of legal
advice before this thing is over.

    Oh, yeah.

As your attorney, I advise you to rent
a fast car with no top.

    And you'll need
    the cocaine.

    Tape recorder
    for special music.

    Acapulco shirts.

Get the hell out of Wellington.
for at least a few hours.

    - Blows my weekend.
    - Why ?

    'Cause, naturally, I'm
gonna have to go with you.

    We're gonna have to
    arm ourselves to the teeth.

    Well, why not ?

    I mean, if a thing's worth doing,
    it's worth doing right.

  6. well i asked my parents last night and it looks like i'm allowed to go.

bit of a problem with logistics, though.

tomtrevor and i are going to be coming back to brisbane the day before
uninats, on a 21 hour straight bus trip. that arrives late in the
afternoon, and uninats starts the morning the day after, so we will
probably have to fly down. woot.!

Yeah i should be in brisbane around the end of July. A friend and i are
driving up from Sydney just for the hell of it. I am bringing my KH 🙂
i would rather bring my muni but there is not enough room for it, i
will need to bone up on trials/street skills. Would you be up for a
    ride?

  9. Kevin try 'countrylink' (http://www.countrylink.info/home) although i
believe they would be expensive and flying would end up cheaper. Maybe
you could teach yourself to fly, the principles are easy, it involves
throwing yourself at the ground and missing.

in the street section. if there is one. so if you ride street, for my
sake, go away. particularly you luke. you make us all look bad.🙂
anyways itll be good to see everyone and im definatly up for that ride.
    i just need moola.

  12. Hi everyone. Just a heads up on the plans for street and trials at
    Uninats in Sydney.

We have a few things we are trying to deal with in order to organise a
    street comp:

    - We aren't able to get "official" permission to run a street comp in
the real streets - issues of public safety, public property etc.
    - We're only insured when we have official permission to use a venue.

    - We have to stick to our official venues for any "official" comp.

Our Saturday location, Carriageworks at Redfern, is going be a great
venue for the indoor stuff - lots of hall space etc, enthusiastic staff
etc.. Although it's an ex-industrial site, there's not a lot of street
furniture - there's a lot of concrete & steel around outside, but we
haven't been able to confirm we can officially use any outside space
for an actual comp yet. (Street + concrete & steel tends to make the
    venues nervous about safety etc.)

For now, our plan for the Saturday is to organise a street "demo" (as
part of the opening ceremony) to let everyone show off their skills.
We'll keep working on the possibility of an official competition, but
it will be pretty much a "flatland" event if we can manage it.

On Sunday, at E.S. Marks stadium, we have permission to build up the
trials course on the shotput practice area. We're hoping to come close
to something like the Darwin 2005 build, which was pretty damn
impressive (but we'll need lots of help!) It's on grass, so it's a
safer for beginners and newbies, as well. The trials comp will be
available all day, and people can move between their races, field
events and the trials as they wish.

On Monday morning, we have the Muni in the Royal National Park at
Loftus. Our official AUS program ends after the Muni - we've planned to
keep the afternoon free so that, by about 1pm, people will be able to
attend (for example) an "unofficial" street competition in Waterloo
skateboard park, should someone want to arrange one 🙂

Hope this is clear - there will be lots of street & trials
opportunities over the weekend, even if they are not all in the
    program!

    Cheers,
    Cris, AUS Secretary
