  1. Thanks for all the advice re my previous posting.

I live in the Tees Valley (Middlesbrough).

I will be looking out for a local Audax event when the weather gets a bit
warmer and the days get longer.

If anyone can recommend one in this area, probably a 100K or 150K ride
    please do so.

    Thanks again

There's quite a few start from just north of York - look
for the ones that start in Wigginton or Easingwold.

I saw that one but I am riding my annual charity ride that weekend.
Middlesbrough to Bristol:- From the Transporter Bridge (Of auf weidersein
pet fame) to Clifton suspension Bridge. We might not quite make it and only
get as far as the Severn Bridge. If we do I will put it down to 'A Bridge
    too far':-(

Thanks for you help and Arthur too.

Newport Transporter Bridge isn't *much* further. 🙂

I know the Transporter Bridge well, I am from Hartlepool. I like the
sound of Boro to Bristol ( I like big bridges too), any ride that takes
one away from Middlesborugh is a good ride ;-) So the ride is none stop
? How far ? Which charities.

We tried two years ago and only got as far Hereford it was 246 Miles we did
that for A local Life after Cancer Charity. This year we are doing it for
our training centre's student hardship fund. I work for an apprentice
    training Centre. www.tte.co.uk

I like the sound of going to the Newport Transporter. How much further is
    that?

Middlesbrough might not be up to much but there are some great rides around
here. NY Moors, Yorkshire Dales, Northumberland all within a easy distance.
