I was the laces on my normal trainers. When going for a
cycle I wear my SPD's in hot weather wear sandles :o)

I have a screaming noise form the back of my triplet which
starts when going downhill at speeds above 40. Doesn't
happen when riding solo. I wonder what it is?

You need to thread the loops and ends back under the laced

I have a similar noise from my heel hitting the clip on the
pannier briefcase.

roadies on recumbent; get shoe lace caught in chain ring;
wobble to a halt and find that you can't reach shoe from
recumbent position; keel over on grass verge; crawl to front
of bike to disentangle lace.

(Fortunately the recently passed roadies must have turned
off and gone another way making this only the second
instance of an unwitnessed low-speed fall ever.)
