France is full of caves--Lascaux and otherwise.

This of course confirms Lance's permanent place in Dickipedia since he is totally screwing Contador. "We havent worked it out. I dont know what level I'll be on."

Blah blah blah. Maybe he will ride for Contador? Who knows.
One thing for sure, if he sees any chance at all at winning, he will not miss it.

Already booked the flights and reserved the hotel long time ago.
Cant wait for Ventoux.

Gotta give it to the guy - he's palyin' journalists and pro cycling fans like fiddles...he's manufacturing drama half a year ahead of time...

And a nice attention grabbing story every fortnight.

Next one should be regarding training camp ?

On the one hand I'm excited - on the other hand I might be slitting my wrists in July watching the Astana Train towing Lance and Alberto up every mountain ala Postal Train style. Boring!

Either way I'll be glued like normal.

has the entire population of france promised to behave on the roadside and not molest lance? was there something in the paper?

There is no guarantee that Armstrong will ride the TDF in 2009.

Astana were due to ride the 2006 TDF - and they didn't.
Astana were due to ride the 2007 TDF - and they didn't.
Astana were due to ride the 2008 TDF - and they didn't.

Also, it is worth watching the internal politics at Astana : even if they do get to ride the 2009 TDF.

agreed there are no guarantees on any team riding, but the hog would squeal to high heaven if only because ascovery managed to avoid the doping scandals that the tdf referenced in excluding them from v. 2008. barring any off season scandal, i'm willing to put a fiver on astana being on the start line.

A new oxygenation booster seems to be born, probably the reason of LA's comeback and why he doesn't want to have blood frozen!

100% guaranteed Astana will be in the Tour de Farce for 2009.

in case they don't make it, don't ask for your money back - you won't get it!:D

Arsewipe whiteboytrash has no clue about the conditions of the entry. For example, Bruneel may have made Armstong's entry conditional on Armstrong working for Contador until 2 km from the top of each climb. I don't hear any complaints from Contador, so odds are that Bruneel worked out an arrangement that he could accept. Contador will be the leader, Armstrong will be the insurance policy. whitboytrash will be screwed again. Boohoo.

You're right. I'm wrong. Bruyneel & Armstrong have a wonderful history of keeping their word and looking after riders. I mean I'm so surprised Armstrong won 78 Tours whilst being so nice and open to team mates who questioned his leadership.

Dickface khuntbreath. Do you really think Armstrong will be riding for the Kid ? His **** is way too small to let that happen.

Armstrong has openly said in the past that he wants to win on Mt Ventoux. Funny that should be the last real stage... Coincidental? I think not.

Maybe we'll see Lance launch another attack in the last few kilometers like he did when he chased down Pantani but this time keep going but I wouldn't be surprised if attacked near the bottom where the real fun begins at Saint Esteve where it gets real steep instead of waiting to get past Le Chalet Reynard. Even though it's the last mountain on the next to the last day of the Tour.

I reckon Mayo's 55 minute record for the climb will be toast.

Unlike having Cancellara drag the entire CSC team around the Alps like last year?

Well, BB brain, "the Kid" represents another 6 to 10 Grand Tours for Bruyneel. Are you really stupid enough to think Bruyneel would throw that away for one more Tour for Armstrong?

His **** is way too small to let that happen.
Can't argue with you there, since you're the only forum member who has had it up his ass.

Not quite. But same end result basically.

Remember Astana started the 07 TDF, Vino testing positive and the team got the boot after stage 15.

The 06 Astana-Wurth was a different team but same sponsor. (former Liberty Seguros), From 07 Vino started a new team and taking the Astana sponsorship with him.

Same net affect, an Astana backed team has not competed/completed a TDF because of doping scandals.
