BUT, the fact is that one could argue that the "theory" still holds despite both those situaitons.
In the Beloki crash, he let Vino get ahead, and was staring to pull him back when it happened. Its
just that he perhaps wasn't able to pull him back as much, and what was "supposed"to be a 30-40 sec.
lead was much less. And the crash on Arden was irrelevant at that point. He was trying to attack
there, and spread it out, and he did. The crash made it more difficult, and perhaps less time
gained, but he still gained time.
I really dont believe all of this; unless he had some white lip gloss in his shorts for the 1st
ITT... But it is always fun to speculate, like the big rumor around Chicago whe MJ's father was
killed was that it was a mob hit for MJ NOT throwing the series the year earlier with Utah...
Although I wouldn't argee too vehemently with someone convinced that LA was "trying" to keep it a
bit closer this year-he just let it get a little too close...
