arm and leg warmer sizing

Sizing varies from brand to brand. If you can't try them on before you buy,

weigh about 180, but I like the fit of an XL jersey...however, I have
skinny arms, so I'm afraid XL armwarmers would look like I stuck
legwarmers on my arms by mistake. I take a Medium in shorts (33"
waist) so would I take a Medium in leg warmers?

Well, I'm an inch taller with slightly longer legs, and most Medium tights fit
me fine. Sometimes they're a teeny bit short of perfect, but it's never been a
problem.

Most clothing manufacturers have sizing charts. Just go by that. It's usually
close enough, since lycra is so stretchy.

I've been really happy with Voler's stuff, and they send you a postage paid
envelope in case it doesn't fit.

_ Leg/knee warmers are sized by the circumference of your
knee. Measure around the skinniest part of your knee and
consult the sizing chart[1], if in doubt error on the side
of getting smaller rather than larger. This will help
a lot in keeping them on. They are all made of pretty
stretchy stuff so it's pretty hard to get them too small.

_ Arm warmers I would just go with your shirt size.

[1]- Google is being quite unhelpful at the moment, but I know
I've seen knee circumference sizing charts somewhere. If it's
any help my knee circumference is 15.5 inches and small
knee/leg warmers work very well for me.

Thanks to all for the replies so far...I've looked for sizing charts at
Performance and Nashbar and Supergo but they don't seem to have them (or at
least I can't find them) for arm and leg warmers (or even tights for that
matter)...they have good charts for jerseys and shorts and gloves and
helmets though. So, in lieue of a chart, the actual measurements you've
given me are helpful.
