There was a thread on C+ forum about this, I think. Someone
got one and tried it and thought it was OK.

It has had rave reviews from many of the denizens of
uk.rec.walking, which you can google for under "Argos
    Tent Thread".

I've had one since about easter time. Used for a few nights
in the garden, then for a bank holiday weekend in Wales.
Rained two of the three nights - no water entered tent. The
design is obviously copied from somewhere, the build quality
is good enough to last a season, possibly two. Alloy poles
and pegs. For £15 you can't beat it. (fully intend to buy a
2nd one for when this one dies)

I'm 6'3", and it's roomy enough to change and sleep
comfortably, with storage for panniers etc.

Admitedly this is my first tent, but £15 is rediculously
cheap and Argos are the type of company to happily, no
questions asked, replace tent should a pole bend etc.

Never buy a telly from them, though. 6 weeks, no delivery, had to threaten WWIII to get my money refunded, then refunded minus an admin fee, .....I'm not an angry man, but I went ballistic. Got my money back, though!

Pretty identical to a Sierra Designs Light Year CD (cheaper
& heavier) as I've previously felt compelled to point out in
sympathy for lost sales for them. (Or perhaps they asked
nicely and paid to copy it?). Maybe next year Argos will
bring out an Akto lookalike for a fiver.

Hmm... I know nothing about this tent, but I can hear the
words "you get what you pay for" echoing in the background.
OTOH <http://www.hilleberg.se> is only a mouseclick away 🙂

Bought mine today. What the hell - I've spent more on a
    round of drinks.
