how common is it in the UK that body weight is expressed in
stones, as opposed to Imperial (pounds) or Metric

Personally, as a software developer, I would much prefer
metric for everything...it's a lot easier working with
numbers in that system. But, here in the US, I'm in a
distinct minority on that point of view.

conversion is no where near linear or a simple multiplier
