Are Newsgroups Chat Rooms?

Top posted for yout personal enjoyment. This is just more of the same
regurgitated cut and past boiler plat [censored]. You are sadly in need of
some new material. No one gives two [censored] what you think. No one will
miss you if and when you ar gone. As concerns your opinion regarding
Usenet newsgroups, you've said it all before and you own words speak
volumes...

exceptions! When I am on Usenet I try to be the biggest idiot, [censored]
and jerk of them all. I set the standard for one and all. I believe I
can state with absolute assurance that I am the Greatest Idiot, the
Greatest [censored] and the Greatest Jerk that Usenet has ever known in
its' long and dishonored history. For Christ's sakes, I prove it every
time I post. Can't any of you poor [censored] read?"

"I am merely a gadfly buzzing about this group ever striving to create
some mayhem. I am superfluous. Think of me as the buffoon of ARBR and
you will not be far wrong."

"All I ever want to do is to defeat and humiliate you, but how can I do
that if you refuse to post your idiotic messages. Please show some
consideration for the Great Ed Dolan and post to these cycling
newsgroups."

others. AB is one of the very worst, but the others are not far behind. I am
convinced Usenet newsgroups are only for the dumb and the stupid. It is a
total waste to time to spend any of it on a newsgroup.

I believe I shall shortly take a final farewell (my 7th) and leave the lot
of you to yourselves forever. That is what you deserve. You certainly don't
deserve the Great Ed Dolan. I am also a Great Saint too, but I know that is
beyond your comprehension. You are all mired in sin and would not know grace
if it jumped up and bit you in the elbow.

My final farewell, like all my others, will consist of much cussing and
swearing and slamming of doors. Please stay tuned.

Two points for Bob. There has been a lot of squabbling but I see it on
other groups too, so maybe it is par for the course. In chat rooms I
tend to get into high speed typing contests with the person on the other
end, so I stay away from them for the most part. I get into that with my
sister (next state) and daughter (next room)(??), but avoid chat rooms.

For the rest of you, yes, but for someone so Great as myself, no. I never
really ask questions except they be of a rhetorical nature. Actually, I know

I am not a troll at all. I am an instigator of invigorating conversation.

In all the years I have been on Usenet, I have only encountered personally
one true troll. Trolls border on being morons and criminals. I have neither
the time nor the inclination to bother with such stupidities.

Why? Because he does not want to ever get a reply from one so Great as
