Most chain whips are equal however the main part of a chain whip is a solid bar of steel. Do you really want to pay for the additional postage from the UK? Check with them as to what the difference would be before you buy it.

Hopefully others can tell you if they are equal, since I don't know. There is a BBB chain whip at (for example) Cecil Walker for under $A25 so maybe your LBS has one too.

Regarding extra shipping from ProbikeKit - the item doesn't mention any additional shipping costs, so if you are making an order anyway then it seems a reasonable deal.

One of the (many!) lovely things about PBK. Flat rate postage (except that that is ALWAYS justification for me spending more $$$ :rolleyes🙂

Yes that's my problem, I need some tyres but while I'm buying them I
might as well get the chain whip, oh and one of those multi purpose
tools, and a seat for the SS project and ...

cheapy will do.

I made one in a few minutes from an aluminuim bar, and old chain.

Cut metal bar to length, drill 3 holes, and attach 2 short pieces of
chain using a chain tool. Copy the dimensions from another whip, or photo.

My homemade track chain whip went missing, I think one of the trackies
appropriated it!

I got the steel bar from a slide clamp from a $2 shop, the slide clamp
beacme a much smaller slide clamp!
